WYATT'S STORY
Wyatt is originally from Northern California and has been drawn to the outdoors since childhood, inspired early on by nearby watching Nye Ranch — now Burnsblossom Farm — grow into a thriving operation. His background in environmental science and ecology helps to drive a goal of helping to restore balance to the environment.
With a focus on horticulture, botany, GIS mapping, and food systems, Wyatt brings both technical skill and ecological sensitivity to his work. He has trained with leading growers, including the Biointensive method with John Jeavons of Ecology Action, and continues to learn through collaboration — most recently learning from Roebuck Farm to refine his approach to small-scale, efficient food production.
Wyatt’s expertise has also led him to contribute to major environmental restoration projects in Auckland through Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei including Pourewa. Over the past several years, he has developed Revival — and more specifically Revival Market Garden — to grow fresh, spray-free produce for the Waiheke community, rooted in organic principles and ecological care. Most recently the technical ecological work he provided for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei's project Ko Te Pukaki won a 2025 award from SER (Society of Ecological Restoration) and 2025 World Landscape Architecture Award for Planning and Research.
